Title:Associate Process Engineer II– Downstream Processing Location:South San Francisco, CA
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support the development of commercially scalable processes for the recovery of biochemicals and biofuels from fermentation broth.  This hands-on position requires an in-depth knowledge of various lab and pilot scale equipment and process systems, a desire and ability to work as a team to conduct various lab and pilot scale development activities, and to support process development engineers.

Position Summary:
The purpose of this job is to assist the performance of Biodiesel operational functions, while manufacturing biodiesel, in order to benefit internal and external customers of Renewable Energy Group (REG).   This position is divided into specific rotating job responsibilities to include console operations and outside operations.  All technicians are subject to rotation and are expected to be able to perform all job tasks.

The purpose of this job is to be a key contributor in the design and maintenance of scientific software and laboratory information systems within the Research and Development department.
